Dr. Christy Marcello Chambers
Hi! This is Dr. Christy. I would like to personally thank you for considering me for your pediatric dentistry or orthodontic needs. My father, Dr. Steven Marcello, a dual-trained pediatric dentist and orthodontist, established this practice in 1985, so Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics are all I’ve ever known. I am the first and only female dental specialist from the state of Louisiana to be dual-trained and board-certified in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. I pride myself on providing excellent, patient-centered care in a warm and welcoming setting and love creating beautiful smiles. I look forward to taking great care of your family!
About Dr. Christy
I was born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana. My father, Dr. Steven Marcello, a dual-trained pediatric dentist and orthodontist, established this practice in 1985. I was essentially born to follow in his footsteps as I was brought home from the hospital to the very building that is now my office.
I went to Edward Douglas White Catholic High School and then graduated with honors from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. From there I attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans and was awarded membership to the C. Edmund Kells Honor Society. Following in my father’s path, I pursued additional training in a pediatric dental residency and completed 2 years of pediatric training at LSU Dental School and Children’s Hospital of New Orleans receiving a Masters of Science in Dentistry. Lastly, I completed two and a half years of postgraduate education in Orthodontics at the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Dentistry.
I am proud to be board-certified in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics and am the first and only female dental specialist from Louisiana to do so.
Outside of the Office
I’m so very grateful for my wonderful husband, William, who is a general dentist in Gonzalez, LA. I am proud to be “Mom,” to two sweet kids- Liam and Eliza- and our lovable goldendoodle, Cap! We love our family time and enjoy many activities like traveling, hiking, and most things outdoors. We also enjoy cheering on the (Auburn) Tigers together!
